Ground Level Platform is an exhibition space created in 2019 by artists Seomy Ahn and Samuel Fisch. Operating in the vein of relational aesthetics, its focus is to feature immersive and participatory projects that are aware of the power dynamic between art space and art consumer.
The Ground Level Collective consists of Ahn, Fisch and Iwata. The group generally exhibits one-off participatory events within GLP. These projects are meant to be generous, with the intention of upsetting the schemas formed around normative art viewing experiences. Ultimately, our hope is that participants feel like they can take physical and intellectual agency in the space regardless of their educational or economic background.
