Participants were immediately ushered to open desks and asked to complete a 'cultural assessment' resembling a standardized test.

 

They submitted their completed tests to a teacher's assistant, who assigned them a score of pass or fail, which was documented clearly on the wall adjacent to students.

 

If the participant passed, they were offered a role as test grader. if they excelled at their role, they would be offered subsequent roles, such as classroom attendant and teacher, with the ability to 'fire' other staff members or send students to 'detention' for breaking classroom rules.
